Bro. Dean Robinson was born in 1959 in Lubbock, TX.
He was saved at an early age while his father, Bro. Darwin Robinson, was pastor
of the Battle Creek Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN.
He lived on the mission field of Mexico for a number of years while his father
served as a missionary.
In 1978, Bro. Robinson was called to preach while attending Tennessee Temple
University.
While a student, he served as an assistant pastor for nearly four years at the
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cloudland, GA.
After graduating in 1981 with a BA degree in Bible, Bro. Robinson moved to
Lubbock, TX.
There, in 1982, he was called as the assistant pastor of Tabernacle Baptist
Church, where Bro. E. L. Bynum was pastor.
He was ordained to the gospel ministry by Tabernacle Baptist Church in 1983.
In 1990 Bro. Robinson moved to Medina, TN, to serve as the assistant pastor of
Faith Baptist Church,
where his father was pastoring.
In 1992, Bro. Robinson moved back to Lubbock, TX, where he was called to serve
as the associate pastor
of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
In 1999, Bro. Robinson became the pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Harrison,
AR, where he served for nearly
two years.
In 2001, Bro. Robinson moved to Lawton, OK, where he served as an associate of
Bethel Baptist Church, until assuming the pastorate in January of 2003.
Bro. Robinson is married to Cheryl (Baucom) Robinson. They have three daughters,
and one grandchild.
